If you have a medical card you don’t have to pay to see your doctor or the medicines they prescribe you.

You need to make sure you qualify for a medical card.

Take the process of applying for a medical card step by step.
- You will need to create an account with a valid email.

Add your first and last name, your personal public service number (PPSN) and date of birth to the My Profile section

Click Apply for Schemes and then select ‘Medical Card’.

This will open a new page with the option to create the application.

You will be presented with the details you need to complete the application.

You will need to provide evidence of your income.

You will need to sign a declaration of consent.

From here, there are different pages you will need to fill out to apply: personal details, financial details, assessment, doctor/medical details, document upload and data protection before finishing.
