Disclosing A Diagnosis
- Deciding to disclose (share) a diagnosis of ADHD, to your friends, family or colleagues and boss, is a very personal decision.
- Sometimes adults with ADHD only tell people very close to them about their diagnosis.
- Some people have found disclosing their diagnosis has benefitted them and contributed to more of an understanding of ADHD in their wider community.
- Additionally, disclosing a diagnosis can lead to additional accommodations (in work and university). Read about requesting accommodations at work here and in university here.
